Tech London Advocates and the Home Office present the first in the Home Office Hours series, in which we will be looking at practical immigration solutions for tech companies and innovators, with a special focus on the expansion of the Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) category to the tech sector.

On the 14th May at Google Campus, there will be an interactive presentation by Russ Shaw, founder of Tech London Advocates, the Home Office and Tech City UK, followed by the opportunity for attendees to have a one-to-one session with Home Office team members and immigration experts from Penningtons Manches LLP in a clinic style setting.

This event is a chance for entrepreneurs to meet the Home Office and learn about the immigration legislation which allows them to bring the best talent into the UK.

Earlier this year, Tech London Advocates conducted research into the obstacles facing London’s technology sector. One in ten Advocates identified immigration legislation as the single biggest problem affecting entrepreneurs. Home Office Hours is a direct attempt to provide clarity and progress around this vital issue.
