Candy Crush set for IPO

18 Feb Candy Crush set for IPO

Exciting news today that King Digital Entertainment, the makers of Candy Crush Saga, has filed IPO papers with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Yet another example of a London tech company marching towards a successful exit strategy.

Russ Shaw, founder of Tech London Advocates, gives his reaction: “King has long been a brilliant example of a UK founded tech start up, and we have been expecting news of their IPO for many months. It’s great news for the London technology seen which is booming at the moment. And while it’s disappointing that they won’t be listing on the London Stock Exchange, it’s a great sign for a successful and booming tech economy.”

“Supporting businesses to a point where founders can achieve a successful exit is a key goal for Tech London Advocates and so inspirational businesses like this are a great example to some of the newer and younger startups in the capital.”
