Join experts and practitioners from Taiwan and the UK to discuss trends in the semiconductor industry.

About this event

Tech London Advocate Taiwan is hosting an annual flagship event during London Tech Week 2021. This year, our theme is set around one of the hottest topics – the semiconductor industry.

As Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) becomes the dominant leader in high-end semiconductor manufacturing, Taiwan and its global semiconductor supply chain capabilities have been brought under global spotlight. The global chip shortage has shone light on the immense impact the semiconductor supply chain has on the tech industry and beyond.

The UK is known for our successes in having a semiconductor IP business like ARM and it’s interesting to explore the role that UK plays in the global semiconductor industry.

At our event, we will have speakers from Taiwan and the UK to share different perspectives. We will also kick off panel discussions following important keynotes, to facilitate insightful discussions about the trends and opportunities in the semi-conductor world.

We are excited to invite Terry Tsao, Chief Marketing Officer and of President of Taiwan at SEMI.org (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) to share his view on the global semiconductor trends and opportunities.

We have also invited Daniel Aharoni as our keynote speaker from Alphaware IP, a new generation semiconductor IP company newly listed on London Stock Exchange, to talk about how to duplicate the success of ARM and build a successful semiconductor IP business.

The event will follow by a Panel Discussions (panel speakers TBC) and a Networking Lunch(sponsored by Taipei Representative Office in the UK).
